The Sturton Road project faced extreme curtailment at the West Burton GSP, and the client needed to establish whether adding battery storage could make it viable.
One Hub Energy carried out the techno-economic evaluation of the project in Nottinghamshire, modelling hybrid scenarios that paired the 99.8 MWp PV plant with a 60 MW / 120 MWh BESS to compensate the curtailment. The scope also covered market price analysis, supplier analysis, CAPEX and OPEX assumptions and the financial model of the hybrid asset.
