Hybridisation feasibility for a 10.5 MWp PV asset in Valladolid

Techno-economic feasibility of integrating storage into a 10.5 MWp PV asset, enabling an informed development decision.

01
Background

The client had to establish whether adding storage would actually improve returns and reduce the risk profile of its PV asset before committing development spend.

02
Process

One Hub Energy reviewed the regulatory framework and planned the hybridisation development, covering current regulation, identified gaps, expected administrative and market-rule updates and the schedule and budget for the works. The techno-economic assessment analysed an optimised hybridisation of the PV project at RTB stage, based on additional energy yield and cover against low PV capture prices, with economic feasibility and long-term valuation run on our in-house dispatch and price-taker BESS model and support on the preliminary feasibility financial model. One Hub Energy then selected the most suitable configuration and sizing and prepared the basic engineering documentation, including technical drawings and the documentation for the grid access update request.

03
Outcome

"A techno-economic feasibility report was delivered for the 10.5 MWp hybridisation, enabling an informed development decision."
