Module quality strategy and repaneling studies for UK PV assets
Review of the client's PV module quality assurance specifications and definition of quality metrics for framework agreement negotiations, plus a repaneling study for two UK PV plants covering module proposal, compatibility, cost and yield.
The client had to strengthen the quality requirements it took into module framework agreement negotiations across the mainstream cell technologies, and to establish whether repaneling two of its UK PV plants stacked up technically and economically.
On the procurement side, One Hub Energy reviewed the client's current quality assurance specifications, identified the areas where improvements and optimisations could be implemented, and defined the quality metrics to be included in framework agreement negotiations for the mainstream module technologies (TOPCon, HJT and BC), going beyond the current state of the art and covering pre-production requirements, pre-shipment control and testing, the applicable reference standards and procedures, and recommendations for on-site quality inspections. On the asset side, One Hub Energy ran a repaneling study for the Spittleborough and Ellicombe PV plants for the application of the client's business model.
"A detailed report was delivered with the review of the current quality assurance specifications, the areas identified for optimisation and the definition of quality metrics for TOPCon, HJT and BC technologies, including pre-production requirements, pre-shipment control and testing, the applicable reference standards and procedures and recommendations for on-site quality inspections. The repaneling report was delivered with the PV module proposal, the mechanical and electrical compatibility assessment and the cost and yield analysis."
