Techno-economic and regulatory assessment for a 50 MW BESS in Andalusia
Techno-economic and regulatory assessment of a 50 MW / 90 MWh storage project hybridised with PV, structured to support the client's investment decision.
The client had to validate a bankable investment thesis for a large BESS hybridised with an Andalusian PV plant before taking it to committee.
One Hub Energy reviewed the regulatory framework and planned the hybridisation development, covering current regulation, identified deficiencies, expected administrative and market-rule updates and the schedule and budget for the works. The techno-economic assessment analysed an optimised hybridisation incorporating storage into the PV project at RTB stage, based on its potential to increase energy yield and to cover the risk of low PV capture prices. One Hub Energy also assessed funding opportunities, analysing the conditions of the available programmes to prepare a CAPEX subsidy application and to align the strategy accordingly.
"The techno-economic and regulatory assessment was delivered for the BESS project in Andalusia, supporting the client's investment decision."
