Custom EMS with a behind-the-meter price optimiser for a 2.09 MWp collective self-consumption scheme across 18 buildings
One Hub Energy built a custom energy management system for the El Rosario energy community that dispatches charge and discharge setpoints to the project's batteries from two different manufacturers according to electricity market prices.
The El Rosario energy community operates a 2.09 MWp collective self-consumption installation spread across 18 buildings, with 1 MWh of battery capacity. The batteries come from two different manufacturers, so a single control layer has to reach both. Without price-aware dispatch, the storage adds little to the economics of the scheme.
One Hub Energy provided digital tools and software support to the energy community, applying our own solar and market software to the asset. On that base it developed a custom EMS for the project. The EMS includes a behind-the-meter price optimiser that reads electricity market prices and derives charge and discharge setpoints from them. Those setpoints are dispatched automatically to the batteries from two different manufacturers, so both fleets respond to the same optimisation logic across the 18 buildings.
