Energy community feasibility on public rooftops at the Port of La Palma
Technical and economic feasibility for an energy community using public port rooftops for PV, including hourly modelling, basic engineering, investment structuring and member sharing-coefficient estimation.
The port authority had to turn public rooftop areas into a viable shared renewable generation scheme, with a defensible allocation between the community's consumers.
One Hub Energy delivered the technical and economic feasibility of an energy community on public rooftops. The work included hourly energy modelling and simulation to size the PV solution and a basic engineering package, the structuring and planning of third-party investment, and the estimation of the sharing coefficients for the different self-consumers within the community.
