Reading the state of 68 inverters across an operating French PV portfolio, and what O&M practice had done to them
Desktop technical review of 68 central inverters of a single family installed across seven operating sites in a 120 MW French PV portfolio, linking component condition to the maintenance practices applied and to the O&M service liabilities arising from them.
Elysia holds an operating PV portfolio of 120 MW in France whose plants run on a single central-inverter family. Inverter condition in a fleet of that age is rarely a purely technical matter: it depends on how the units have been maintained, and poor maintenance practice shifts liability towards the O&M provider. Elysia needed both readings at once — the physical condition of the components and the contractual exposure attached to it — before deciding where value could still be recovered.
One Hub Energy worked as independent technical advisor on a desktop basis, covering the client's PV plants equipped with that inverter family: 68 units across seven sites. We assessed component health across the fleet rather than site by site, so that recurring failure patterns could be separated from one-off events. In parallel we reviewed the inverter maintenance practices actually applied and traced the O&M service liabilities they gave rise to. The two strands were then read together to identify where value recovery was potentially available to the owner.
"A Desktop Review Technical Report was delivered in 2025 covering the client's portfolio plants with that inverter family, 68 units across seven sites. It gave Elysia a fleet-level view of component health and of the O&M service liabilities tied to inverter maintenance practice, as the basis for pursuing value recovery."
