PRTR grant strategy for a 75 MW hybridisation portfolio
Techno-economic assessment and PRTR subsidy strategy for three 25 MW PV plants being hybridised with storage; One Hub Energy led the funding applications and the techno-economic studies behind the investment decision.
The client needed to protect returns and de-risk the CAPEX of hybridising three PV plants with public funding, while validating the storage business case itself.
One Hub Energy reviewed the applicable regulation, identified gaps and expected administrative and market-rule updates, and built the schedule and budget plan for the hybridisation. The techno-economic assessment of the hybridised PV + BESS plants at RTB stage was run on our in-house dispatch and price-taker BESS model to estimate long-term revenues, with support on the preliminary feasibility financial model. We then selected the most suitable plant configuration and sizing and prepared the basic engineering documentation, including technical drawings and the paperwork for the grid access update request. Finally, One Hub Energy managed the full preparation of the CAPEX grant applications end to end.
