Self-consumption PV with storage and full backup for a hotel on an unreliable grid
Self-consumption study, BESS sizing and a three-phase 18.24 kWp + 14.4 kWh installation with full diesel backup, including detailed engineering, legalisation and the grant application.
The hotel operated on a grid with low reliability and needed a self-consumption solution with backup able to keep the site running.
One Hub Energy started with a PV self-consumption study sized against the site's contracted demand and consumption profile, followed by the BESS sizing for the commercial site with an evaluation of battery options and equipment configuration. The delivered solution is a three-phase self-consumption installation of 18.24 kWp with a 14.4 kWh lithium battery, three 3-phase-forming hybrid inverters and a 33 kW diesel generator as full backup. One Hub Energy also produced the detailed engineering, handled the legalisation and prepared the grant application to the Xunta de Galicia.
