Access and connection permit updates for three PV-plus-storage hybridisations
Guarantees management through to the correct constitution letter and processing of the access and connection permit updates for three PV plants being hybridised with battery storage, 20.2-32.76 MW each.
Three operating-scale PV plants were to be hybridised with battery storage. Adding storage behind an existing connection point is not a design exercise alone: the access and connection permits have to be updated, and the financial guarantees associated with the new capacity have to be lodged and formally accepted before the update can proceed. Each of the three projects sat with a different grid operator counterpart, so the same process had to be run three times without letting any of them fall out of step.
One Hub Energy took the development-services role on all three hybridisation projects. The team managed the guarantees process end to end, from constitution through to obtaining the correct constitution letter for each project. In parallel, One Hub Energy prepared and processed the update of the access and connection permits for the hybridisation of each plant, dealing with the transmission system operator on one project and with the distribution system operator on the other two. The three files were run as one workstream, with a common documentation set adapted to each counterpart's requirements, so that the storage capacity added at each site (80.2 to 130.39 MWh) was reflected consistently in the permit position.

"The correct constitution letter for the guarantees was obtained and the access and connection permits were updated on all three projects. The three hybridisations therefore hold a permit position consistent with their PV-plus-storage configuration."
No project photo- End-to-end guarantees management for three hybridisation projects
- Guarantees correct constitution letter obtained per project
- Access and connection permit update files prepared and submitted
- Processing with the transmission system operator and with the distribution system operator
- Updated A&C permits reflecting the PV-plus-storage configuration of each plant
