Technical prefeasibility assessment for asset optimization:

Project site study and location identification for optimization: One Hub Energy will evaluate the suitability and technical conditions of one or more potential sites. The identified project site will be selected based on the requirements of the area, as well as the topological and orographic conditions of the site, among other criteria.

Basic engineering design: A preliminary engineering and design of the plant project will be prepared. The preliminary design will seek to maximize the installed capacity without over-committing civil works and earthworks and their associated costs.

Detailed analysis of the regulatory framework:

Summarize relevant current regulation and legislation: In the case of Spain, regulation has had to address certain modifications to allow the development and operation of hybridization and BESS projects, and also to allow participation in different markets. This section includes an overview of the regulatory framework, as well as the main licensing processes, along with the main authorities involved, key deadlines and administrative milestones, and the guarantees required.

Evaluate existing limiting factors and/or regulatory deficiencies: Spanish regulation needs to address certain modifications to allow, not only the development and operation of hybridization and BESS projects, but also the possibility to participate in markets such as secondary regulation or adjustment services, which will increase project revenues.
