Octopus Energy has acquired a stake in One Hub Energy, consolidating a strategic alliance to boost the development of renewable energy and storage (BESS) projects in Spain.

The investment is carried out through Octopus Energy Generation’s Sky fund (ORI SCSp), which manages more than £2 billion (€2.3 billion) in renewable energy assets and aims to accelerate the growth of One Hub’s digital solutions.

Facing this rebranding, the company transforms to bring together energy advisory services and advanced technological solutions for simulation and forecasting in the energy market.
The transaction strengthens One Hub Energy’s role as a leading energy advisory firm in the sector. One Hub plays a key role thanks to its technical, regulatory, and financial expertise, enabling faster investment in renewables and energy flexibility.

One Hub Energy announces its strategic alliance with Octopus Energy, which has acquired a stake in the company through a fund managed by Octopus Energy Generation, Octopus’s renewables arm. The flagship fund called ‘Sky’ (ORI SCSp) is responsible for more than £2 billion (€2.3 billion) in renewable energy assets and reinforces its position in Spain’s fast-growing renewable energy market.

The collaboration consolidates One Hub Energy’s position as a trusted local partner in energy advisory and will accelerate investment plans in renewable and storage projects across Spain.

One Hub Energy already acts as a technical advisor to Octopus, actively supporting the fund’s investments — including a recent investment in 100 MW of solar projects in Spain. After transforming the UK’s energy market and creating 10,000 jobs, Octopus Energy is now making major strides in Spain. Since launching its retail business in 2021, Octopus has become the fastest-growing independent energy company in the country*, with over 350,000 customers — and continues to expand at record pace.
