We are proud to share the successful #self-consumption photovoltaic installation in Casona de Labrada, located near the village of A Pontenova, Lugo. This innovative project aims to achieve energy self-sufficiency, reducing dependence on external sources and guaranteeing a reliable electricity supply at all times.
System capacity: 19.2 kWp photovoltaic system, capable of generating a total of 21,069 kWh per year. 15 kWh storage system for the optimization of the solar surplus and arbitration.
Energy coverage: This system will cover 73.5% of the rural hotel's energy needs, significantly reducing dependence on the electricity grid.
Storage and backup: The system includes batteries to store excess solar energy generated and a 40 kVA diesel generator that will be activated in case of emergencies, ensuring that the hotel can operate without interruption.
CO2 savings: This production will save 15,069 kWh from the grid, which is equivalent to the reduction of 7,534.5 kg of CO2 not emitted into the atmosphere, an effort similar to the absorption work of 342 trees.
System hybridization: The system consists of three Victron string inverters, each rated at 15 kW, configured to form a three-phase grid that is integrated in a hybrid manner with the Pylontech 15 kWh storage system.
The incorporation of 15 kWh capacity batteries ensures that solar energy generated during the day can be used at times of low production, such as at night or on cloudy days, thus ensuring a constant and reliable power supply, even in areas with unstable power grids.
In addition, a diesel generator has been installed to cover emergencies, such as grid outages or power surpluses, thus guaranteeing a continuous, uninterrupted and optimal energy supply.
Long-term benefits: This system not only improves the hotel's energy efficiency, but also minimizes environmental impact and reduces long-term operating costs, making Casona de Labrada a benchmark for sustainability in the tourism sector.
