Evaluation of market agents
Advice was provided for three PV plants in Spain, focusing on the analysis of the historical performance of the Market Agents (MA) (€/MW/year), as well as on the review of the contractual conditions. Given the recent cannibalization observed in the Spanish electricity market, MAs have started to implement complex market participation strategies, combining revenues from different segments. The performance of the MAs was evaluated individually per plant to identify the best agent for renewable assets. In addition, the contractual conditions offered by the main MoAs were collected and reviewed.
Performance evaluation
Benchmarking of the performance of market participants operating renewable energy assets. Evaluation of market participation strategies, revenues generated in the balancing services markets and overall plant performance (€/MW/year). Background review of investigations opened by regulatory agencies and sanctions applied to each MA.
Contract analysis
Evaluation of the latest contractual offers of the Market Agents, considering, among other aspects, the distribution of deviation risks and the revenue sharing structures associated with the participation in adjustment services of renewable assets. Due diligence of both producer and MA obligations.
